Fun with Fido! Introduction to Agility and Rally Obedience

OK, so you've mastered the basics and now you want to have some fun!

This class focuses on the lighter side of life with your dog:
  • Introduction to agility, including:
    • Tire jump
    • Bar jumps
    • A-frame
    • Pause table
    • Tunnel
    • Chute
    • Teeter-totter (aka the "see-saw")

    Please note:
    • Dogs of all sizes can take agility, as the equipment is easily adjusted to your dog's height
    • We only use competition-level equipment so your dog gets used to the real thing in case you want to move on to the next level.


  • Introduction to rally obedience, where we set up a course full of cones, each of which has a sign with instructions that your dog needs to follow before advancing to the next cone. It's an effective and fun way to hone your dog's obedience skills.

  • Next course:
    • Mondays at 8:15pm starting Oct 6.
  • Number of sessions: 6
  • Duration: 1 hour per class
  • Price: $195. We accept Visa, Mastercard, checks, and debit (ATM) cards
  • Instructor: Debbie Bickford, one of Chicago's premier dog trainers.

  • Ages: At least 5 months old.
  • Maximum class size: 8.
  • Prerequisite: Successfully passing a puppy or basic obedience class with a reputable trainer is strongly recommended.
  • What to bring: A 6-foot leash (flexileads are not recommended) and favorite treats. A treat bag is recommended. Prong collars are not allowed in class.
  • Positive reinforcement only: As with all training classes at Tucker Pup's, this class uses only positive reinforcement techniques such as treats and praise. We do not use shock collars or dominance methods to achieve success.
