Our Photographer

Jennifer Spainhour is our photographer-in-chief and is an owner of Tucker Pup's, along with her husband. Among many other responsibilities, she has created our own in-house photo studio for professional portraits, and takes all the photos for our website and marketing materials.

For many years, she has taken innumerous photographs of her daughter, pets, and friends and family members. People began recognizing her talent and encouraged her to take her game to the next level.

Jen has worked in brand marketing for the past years at Fortune 500 companies. She is currently a Vice-President at Arbor Strategy Group, a boutique consulting firm that focuses on new product innovation for major brands and retailers. Prior to that, she was at Pepsi's Chicago-based Quaker Oats division for 6 years, where she was the brand manager for Life Cereal and Rice-a-Roni. Prior to that, she lived in New Jersey while working for Nabisco, where she helped manage the Planters Peanuts brand. She also spent several years in Cincinnati at Heinz, where she helped manage the Kibbles n' Bits brand. Jen earned an MBA from SMU in Dallas, and graduated with a marketing degree from Miami of Ohio.

In each of her roles, she developed an eye for great photography and design work. She went to many TV commercial and photo shoots and was highly involved in packaging design, print ads, and media buys, among many other duties. Her experience in the studio, in combination with her personal passion for photography, inspired her to turn her hobby into a more serious endeavor.

Jen is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, as well as the Nikonians, a national association of photographers. She has also been personally mentored by some of the leading photographers in Chicago.
