I teach Dropoff Training, puppy socials, and Stay and Train at Tucker Pups.Training Background
Prior to Tucker Pup's, I was a dog trainer at a leading training facility in the Chicago suburbs. I have also been a trainer at Petco.In addition, I have been a supervisor at a fear-free dog daycare facility. This has helped me better understand dog behavior in group play.
Why I Became a Dog Trainer
I grew up loving all animals and was almost certain I wanted to be a zookeeper. After graduating college I started working at Petco and loved watching the dog trainers train. They appreciated my work ethic and took a chance on me. I quickly found a new passion in dog training. It’s the best feeling when you help a family go from being stressed out with their new puppy to having such a beautiful bond and being proud of all the behaviors they taught their puppy! Everyone wants the best for their dogs, and I’m just here to help families do that.My Pets
I have a 2.5 year old pit bull named Eevee Mae, who is my mini-me. Eevee has her "Do More With Your Dog, Novice Trick Dog" Title. She is so smart and we love to train together!Testimonials
George had the best time at Tucker Pup's! He learned so much from Courtney and will definitely miss her so much. Anytime we walk by now he wants to go in. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We’ve been attended about 5-6 puppy socials with Courtney and have absolutely enjoyed the social! I learned so much as a puppy owner, and Courtney was always so helpful and supportive and patient with all us new puppy owners. She helped provide guidance when my little one was proving to be too much in the Tiny Tots social so we moved to the Whippersnappers and she did so well! I would strongly recommend the puppy socials and Courtney to anyone!

I attended four pup socials with Courtney and thought that she was great! I learned so much just listening to her and observing the puppies play together. It was one of the more informative learning / training experiences I’ve had. She was calm and personable, yet very professional. Would keep coming back if my puppy wasn’t too old!
