I provide private lessons and group classes at Tucker Pup's.
My passion for dogs started at an early age, when I became the neighborhood pet sitter and dog walker. As began to work with hundreds of dogs in the different daycares around the city, I realized how vital and beneficial having a solid and compassionate understanding with your pet is. I hope to work with owners and their pups to strengthen that bond, and to help create the ideal loving relationship we all strive to have with our dogs!
Prior to Tucker Pup's, I was a receptionist at several large dog businesses in Chicago. I also worked as a dog handler and dog walker. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in customer service and dog behavior.

Work Experience
Before my current role, I taught Dropoff Training and puppy socials, and trained dogs here for Stay and Train.Prior to Tucker Pup's, I was a receptionist at several large dog businesses in Chicago. I also worked as a dog handler and dog walker. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in customer service and dog behavior.
Certifications
- I earned my CPDT-KA certification from the Certification Council from Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT).
- I am Fear-Free Certified
- I have also taken courses with Karen Pryor Academy, a leading national academy for dog trainers.
My Dog
I currently live in Wicker Park with my amazing, goofy, and slightly crazy mutt, Olivia. She always keeps me on my toes and challenges me to always be thinking in new ways.Testimonials
We were really happy with Cheddar's progress in Dropoff Training and for the tools we can continue to utilize. We really appreciated how easy it was to communicate with Claire and her flexibility with scheduling, especially when we had to push some training back a week due to a paw injury. Puppy Manners class was amazing. Provided the fundamental skills needed. The addition of the videos helped to remind and reinforce proper technique. Claire was amazing. Very insightful always willing to stay and answer questions. I was so nervous and she was so reassuring. She paid attention to every puppy and was great at analyzing their behavior. She gave tips on what to do when things weren’t working and made the experience fun. Highly recommend and would take another class with her in a heartbeat!

Claire was amazing! She was very patient with the pups and owners when teaching them both new training exercises. She stresses the importance of positive reinforcement training and never suggested using the leash or a collar to control our dog. We enjoyed attending Claire's classes and our pup is already showing a lot of progress after this course!
