About Us > Community Service

Tucker Pup's is committed to helping the community of dogs and their owners in Chicago. We will be participating in various organizations in an effort to improve the city's dog-related resources and bring the joy of dogs to more people.

We plan on being involved in the following efforts:

Have an idea for a community service effort you think we should support? Want to get involved in our community service efforts? Let us know.

We're Currently Involved with the Following Organizations

Montrose Dog Beach
We believe that the Montrose Dog Beach is the single greatest resource in Chicago for dogs and their owners. MonDog is a volunteer organization that officially oversees the beach to ensure that it remains a vibrant resource and to keep the city from ever trying to revoke its status as a Dog Friendly Area (DFA). Joel Spainhour, the owner of Tucker Pup's, is on MonDog's Board of Directors and is in charge of increasing membership and donations.

MonDog needs your help! Become a member to help gain strength in numbers, plus make an annual donation to help increase funds for special projects and maintenance (the suggested annual donation is $20). Remember, the Montrose Dog Beach is a privilege, not a birthright.

Anti-Cruelty Society
The Anti-Cruelty Society is an excellent organization committed to helping abandoned dogs find home and educating the public on dog-related issues. Tucker Pup's supports the Anti-Cruelty Society through the annual Bark in the Park, hosting special events at our facility, and teaming up on adoption efforts.

After our launch, we will be getting involved in more organizations and will post information about them here. Please check back.

Get Into Training!

Behavior issues? Does your dog pull you down the icy sidewalk? Listen only half the time? Not come to you when called? Jump on people? Bark or howl? Pee on the rug? Chew on things? It doesn't have to be that way.

Have a puppy? They learn many lifelong behaviors by 4.5 months. Don't wait!
